first used by the Ancient Egyptians to form Tortoise Shells on hot
rocks.
There are two Basic forms of
Thermoforming today.
Cut-Sheet
Used for large or thicker gage
parts.
Examples are Automotive
Headliners,door panels,truck bed liner,covers, domes, and
spas.
This compromises three types of
Machine-
Single Station
Shuttle-
Rotary-
Double-Ender-
The other type is Roll-Fed or
Inline.
Used for smaller high production
thin gage parts.
Such as plates,cups,clam shells
for food trays and packaging
